DSL-510 (v.A1)
ADSL Router
Features
ADSL Router
The DSL-510 ADSL router combines high-speed broadband connection with versatile router functions. Designed for home and the
small office users, this device incorporates a built-in ADSL interface, cost-saving Internet functions and network protection for
users from Internet intruders.
ADSL Broadband WAN Connection
Cost-saving Internet Functions
The DSl-510 router can connect a single computer or a group
of users to the Internet via a broadband ADSL line. An
interface supporting G.dmt, G.lite and auto-handshake for
different ADSL flavors is built into this router supporting a
wide range of telecom service providers. This built-in ADSL
allows you to flexibly hook up DMT full rate DSL service
(8Mbps), or make use of the economic G.lite rate. Both
"always-on" and dial-up ADSL to save ISP charge are
supported.
Cost-saving Internet functions like NAT and DHCP server are
built into this router, permitting your entire home or office to
share one single broadband line and one single ISP account.
The router automatically assigns IP address for all home and
office users, simplifying everyone's logon operation.
Network Security
Fast Ethernet Interface
The router provides NAT protection for your office and
home users from any Internet intruders and hackers. VPN
pass-through for extra security is also supported. The router
blocks and limits the services that outside users can access
your network. It can be set to allow separate FTP, Web, and
Multiplayer game servers to share the same Internet-visible
IP address while masking your the addresses of your home
and office servers and workstations on the Internet to protect
them from hackers.
The router provides a 10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet port
for connection to a computer host. A group of home or office
users can connect to the router through an Ethernet hub or
switch through this port. Auto MDI/MDIX is supported,
eliminating the need to change from a straight-through to a
cross-over network cable when the router is connected to a
hub or switch instead of to a computer.
