The DCS-5300G utilizes the speed and convenience of 802.11g

wireless technology to maximize your network investment. Connect

to your wireless network at a maximum wireless signal rate of up

to 54Mbps

with 128-bit WEP encryption. Or connect to an

Ethernet connection at 10Mbps or 100Mbps. The DCS-5300G

can be integrated seamlessly with your existing network.

The built-in UPnP™ support allows computers running Windows

XP/Me to automatically recognize the DCS-5300G and add it to

your network. The DCS-5300G can be instantly accessed and

viewed from My Network Places as a device on the network.

UPnP™ Support

The integration of a CCD sensor in the DCS-5300G enables

high resolution images and offers a sharp image with true color,

even under low light conditions.

The DCS-5300G features a pan, tilt, and zoom function that can be

controlled from the Web interface or from the included remote

control. Pan the camera up to 270 degrees horizontally and tilt it up

to 90 degrees vertically. The pan/tilt speed can be adjusted to your

The DCS-5300G uses MPEG4 Short Header Mode to transfer

live video at up to 30 frames per second for real-time viewing.

The built-in microphone allows you to monitor and record

sound to your video. Watch and listen to what’s taking place at

your home or ofﬁce on your Web browser from anywhere in the

world. You can even add an external microphone via the input

jack for enhanced audio.

The DCS-5300G ensures compatibility with your computer and

operating system by utilizing a Web management interface,

accessible by using Internet Explorer version 6. You can remotely

gain access to the camera, view live video, listen to sounds picked

up by the built-in microphone and make changes to the camera

settings from your Web browser.

By signing up with one of the many free Dynamic DNS services

available on the Web, you can assign an easy-to-remember name

and domain to the camera (e.g. www.mycamera.myddns.com).

This allows you to remotely access your camera without having

to remember the IP address, even if it has been changed by your

Internet Service Provider.
