SAFETY CERTIFICATION
This compact disc player is made and tested to meet safety standards of the FCC,
requirements and compliance with safety performance of the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services, and also with FDA Radiation Performance Standards 21
CFR Subchapter J.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Do not take the DMP-CD100 apart. The laser beam used in the DMP-CD100
could harm your eyes.
Do not insert pins, etc., inside the DMP-CD100. This unit is equipped with a
safety device which automatically turns the laser beam off when the disc
compartment is opened. If a pin or other metal object should get inside the
DMP-CD100, however, this safety device may be deactivated.
The DMP-CD100 should be connected to a power supply only of the type
described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.
Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on
or pinched by items placed upon or against them, pay particular attention to cords
at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
DMP-CD100.
Never remove the enclosure. If the internal parts are touched accidentally, a
serious electric shock might occur.
If an abnormal smell or smoke is detected, immediately turn the power OFF and
pull out the power cord. Contact your dealer or nearest service center.
Avoid placing the DMP-CD100 under direct sunlight or near a source of heat
such as heating equipment. Particularly, never leave it in an automobile or on the
dashboard.
The DMP-CD100 may not function properly if used at extremely low, or
freezing temperatures. The ideal ambient temperature is above +5°C (41°F).
Avoid places where it is dusty or where the humidity is high.
Avoid placing the DMP-CD100 on an unstable surface such as a shelf or in a
place subject to vibrations.
Keep the DMP-CD100 away from sources of magnetic fields such as TV sets,
speaker systems, radios, motorized toys or magnetized object.
Do not use volatile solvents such as alcohol, paint thinner, gasoline, or benzene,
etc. To clean the cabinet, use a clean dry cloth.
The user should not attempt to service the DMP-CD100 beyond that described in
the operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified
service personnel.

APPLIANCE TO RAIN OR MOISTURE.
