Switches by functionality
Even smarter switches, because one size doesn’t t all
Smart switches provide more advanced networking features found in high-
end managed solutions, but in an easy to deploy format and at a price point
aordable to small and medium sized businesses. The smart switch range is
divided into three families:
Smart Series
The Smart Switch series oer greater
exibility with a choice of 8, 10, 16, 20
24, 44 or 48 Gigabit ports, the larger
models also have combo ports for
bre connectivity. PoE is available as an
option, which enables users to utilise
their existing network infrastructure
eliminating the need for additional
power outlets.
Key features:
8/12/16/20/24/44 or 48 Gigabit
ports, combo SFP ports for bre
networks.
PoE/PoE+ support on some models,
with time-based controls.
Extensive bandwidth management
controls including QoS, port
trunking, Spanning Tree and IGMP
snooping.
Auto Voice and Auto Surveillance
VLAN technology for smooth
integration of IP phones and
cameras with minimal eort to
automatically congure, secure and
prioritise trac from IP phones.
Support for Access Control Lists plus
other security options.
SNMP management from D-Link
D-View and other consoles.
Smart Managed Series
Completing the Smart Switch
portfolio, the Smart Managed series
is designed to suit the needs of the
businesses looking for even greater
scalability including the ability to
virtually stack switches and manage
them from a single location. Virtual
stacking enables businesses to
manage up to 32 D-Link switches
from one place without the need of
stacking cables and the ability to have
switches operating together but in
dierent locations. Static routing is also
available on Smart Managed Switches
together with other more advanced
networking and management
features, incorporating Green Ethernet
technology for reliable and eco-
friendly operation.
Key features:
More ports than standard Smart
Switches plus virtual stacking of up
to 32 units managed from a single IP
address.
Big budget PoE+ support to deliver
up to 30W of power over a full set of
network ports.
Advanced security features usually
only available on high-end switches.
Auto Voice and Auto Surveillance
VLAN technology for smooth
integration of IP phones and
cameras with minimal eort.
Layer 3 routing to build a scalable
network as the business grows.
IPv6 support on some models.
With the right
infrastructure, we could
raise the bar to a whole
new level, make it easy
for all the users to
access content and
communicate...
