system identity
Description
The router identity is displayed before the command prompt. It is also used for DHCP client as 'host
name' parameter when reporting it to the DHCP server.
Example
To view the router identity:
[admin@Wandy] > system identity print
name: "Wandy"
[admin@Wandy] >
To set the router identity:
[admin@Wandy] > system identity set name=Gateway
[admin@Gateway] >
Date and Time
system clock
Property Description
time (time) - date and time in format "mm/DD/YYY HH:MM:SS"
time-zone (text) - UTC timezone in format "+HH:MM" or "-HH:MM"
Notes
It is recommended that you reboot the router after time change to obviate the possible errors in time
measurments and logging.
Date and time settings become permanent and effect BIOS settings.
Example
To view the current date and time settings:
[admin@Gateway] system clock> print
time: dec/24/2003 15:53:05
time-zone: +02:00
[admin@Gateway] system clock>
To set the system date and time:
[admin@Gateway] system clock> set date=dec/31/2022 time=12:11:32 time-zone=+0
[admin@Gateway] system clock> print
time: dec/31/2022 12:11:33
time-zone: +00:00
