TosavetheKnownAPlisttoafile,clickSave.ThelistcontainstheMACaddressesofallAPthathavebeen

addedtotheKnownAPList.Bydefault,thefilenameisRogue1.cfg.YoucanuseatexteditororWebbrowser

toopenthefileandview

itscontents.

UsetheImportfeaturetoimportalistofKnownAPsfromasavedlist.ThelistmightbefromanotherDWL‐

x600APorcreatedfromatextfile.IftheMACaddressofanAPappearsintheKnownAPList,itwillnotbe

detectedasa

rogue.

ToimportanAPListfromafile,usethefollowingsteps:

1. ChoosewhethertoreplacetheexistingKnownAPlistoraddtheentriesintheimportedfiletotheKnown

APlist.

• SelecttheReplaceoptiontoimportthelistandreplacethecontentsoftheKnownAPList.



• SelecttheMergeoptiontoimportthelistandaddtheAPsintheimportedfiletotheAPscurrently

displayedintheKnownAPList.

2. ClickBrowseandchoosethefiletoimport.

Thefileyouimportmustbeaplain‐textfilewitha.txtor.cfgextension.Entries

inthefileareMAC

addressesinhexidecimalformatwitheachoctetseparatedbycolons,forexample00:11:22:33:44:55.

Separateentrieswithasinglespace.FortheAPtoacceptthefile,itmustcontainonlyMACaddresses.

3. ClickImport.

Oncetheimportiscomplete,thescreenrefreshesandthe

MACaddressesoftheAPsintheimportedfile

appearintheKnownAPList.

Privacy Indicateswhetherthereisanysecurityontheneighboringdevice.

• OffindicatesthattheSecuritymodeontheneighboringdeviceissettoNone(no

security).

• Onindicatesthattheneighboringdevicehassomesecurityin

place.

SecurityisconfiguredontheAPfromtheVAPpage.

Band ThisindicatestheIEEE802.11modebeingusedonthisAP.(Forexample,IEEE802.11a,

IEEE802.11b,IEEE802.11g.)

Thenumbershownindicatesthemodeaccordingtothefollowingmap:

• 2.4indicatesIEEE802.11b,802.11g,or802.11nmode(or

acombinationofthemodes)

• 5indicatesIEEE802.11aor802.11nmode(orbothmodes)

Channel ShowstheChannelonwhichtheAPiscurrentlybroadcasting.

Thechanneldefinestheportionoftheradiospectrumthattheradiousesfortransmitting

andreceiving.
