Section 2 - Installation
Warnings
Handle the camera with care.
Do not abuse the camera. Avoid striking, shaking, or otherwise disturbing the enclosure. Improper handling or storage
may damage the camera.
Install electrical wiring carefully.
Consult a qualied electrician regarding camera installation. Please note that the camera’s electrical input tolerance is AC
24V ± 10%. Ensure that the AC adapter’s power cable is grounded appropriately to protect against power surges.
Do not disassemble the camera.
To prevent electric shock, do not remove screws or covers. Consult D-Link regarding service if necessary.
Do not block the cooling holes on the bracket.
This camera has a cooling fan inside. Blocking the cooling holes will lead to overheating and may cause damage.
Do not operate the camera beyond the specied temperature, humidity or power source ratings.
Use the camera under conditions where the temperature is between -40° ~ 50° C (-40° ~ 122° F), and relative humidity
is below 80%.
Do not use strong or abrasive detergents when cleaning the camera body.
Use a dry cloth to clean the camera when it is dirty. A mild detergent can be used if necessary.
Never aim the camera towards the sun.
Never aim the camera at the sun or other extremely bright light sources, even when the camera is not in use. Doing
so may cause damage to the camera’s sensors.
