1. What is the maximum number of users that can be allowed to access DCS-6815/6817/6818

The maximum number of users that can log onto the Internet Camera at the same time is 10. Please keep in mind
the overall performance of the transmission speed will slow down when many users are logged on.
2. Can the Internet Camera be used outdoors?
The DCS-6815/6817/6818 is IP66 certied and is weatherproof. Please use appropriate weatherproof cabling for
safe installation.

The Internet Camera uses Category 5 UTP cable allowing 10 Base-T and 100 Base-T networking.
4. Can the DCS-6815/6817/6818 be connected to the network if it consists of only private IP addresses?
Yes, the Internet Camera can be connected to a LAN with private IP addresses.
5. Why does the Internet Camera work locally but not externally?
This might be caused by network rewall protection. The rewall may need to have some settings changed in
order for the Internet Camera to be accessible outside your local LAN. Check with the Network Administrator for
your network.
Make sure that the Internet Camera isn’t conicting with any Web server you may have running on your network.
The default router setting might be a possible reason. Check that the conguration of the router settings allow the
Internet Camera to be accessed outside your local LAN.
6. Noisy images occur. How can I solve the problem?
The video images might be noisy if the Internet Camera is used in a very low light environment. To solve this issue
