7.1 Groups and Users

Advanced > Users > Groups

The group page allows creating, editing and deleting groups . The groups are

as s ociated to set of us er types. The lis ts of available groups are dis p layed in t h e “Lis t

o f Grou p ” p ag e wit h Gro u p n ame an d d e s c ript io n o f g ro u p .

 Click Add to create a group.

 Click Edit to update an existing group.

 Click Delete to clear an exis ting group.

Group configuration page allows to create a group with a different type of us ers . The

us er types are as follows :

 PPTP User: Thes e are PPTP VPN tunnel LAN us ers that can establish a tunnel

with the PPTP s erver on the W AN.

 L2TP Us er: Thes e are L2TP VPN tunnel LAN us ers that can es tablis h a tunnel

with the L2TP s erver on the WAN.

 Xauth User: Th is u s e r’s au t h en t icatio n is p erfo rmed b y an extern ally

configured RADIUS or other Enterprise server. It is not part of the local user

databas e.

 SSLVPN Us er: This user has acces s to the SSL VPN s ervices as determined

by the group policies and authentication domain of which it is a member. The

domain-determined SSL VPN portal will be dis played when logging in with

this user type.
