7.5 User Portal

Setup > VPN Settings > SSL VPN Client > SSL VPN Client Portal

When remote us ers want to access the private network through an SSL tunnel (either

us ing the Port Forwarding or VPN tunnel s ervice), they log in through a user portal.

This portal provides the authentication fields to provide the appropriate acces s levels

and privileges as determined by the router adminis trator. The domain where the us er

account is stored mus t be s pecified, and the domain determines the authentication

method and portal layout s creen pres ented to the remote us er.

7.5.1 Creating Portal Layouts

Setup > VPN Settings > SSL VPN Server > Portal Layouts

The router allows you to create a cus tom page for remote SSL VPN us ers that is

pres ented upon authentication. There are various fields in the portal that are

cus tomizable for the domain, and this a llows the router adminis trator to

communicate details such as login ins tructions, available s ervices , and other us age

details in the portal visible to remote users. During domain setup, configured portal

layouts are available to s elect for all us ers authen ticated by the domain.

 The default portal LAN IP addres s is https://192.168.10.1/scgi-

bin/userPortal/portal. Th is is th e s ame pag e th at op ens when t h e “Us er Po rt al”

link is clicked on the SSL VPN menu of the router GUI.

The router adminis trator creates and edits portal layouts from the configuration pages

in the SSL VPN menu. The portal name, title, banner name, and banner contents are

all cus tomizable to the intended users for this po rtal. The portal name is appended to
