WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access): For s tronger wireles s s ecurity than W EP, choos e
this option. The encryption for WPA will us e TKIP and also CCMP if required. The
authentication can be a pre-shared key (PSK), Enterpris e mode with RADIUS
server, or both . Note that W PA does not s upport 802.11n data rates ; is it
appropriate for legacy 802.11 connections .
WPA2: this s ecurity type us es CCMP encryption (and the option to add TKIP
encryption) on either PSK (pre-s hared key) or Enterpris e (RADIUS Server)
authentication.
WPA + WPA2: this us es both encryption algorithms , TKIP and CCMP. WPA
clients will us e TKIP and WPA2 clients will us e CCMP encryption algorithms.
W PA +W PA 2 is a s e c urity o p tion th at allows devices to c o n n ec t t o an A P u s in g
the strongest security that it supports . This mode allows legacy devices that only
support W PA2 keys (s uch as an older wireles s printer) to connect to a s ecure AP
where all the other wireles s clients are us ing W PA2.

4.2.1 WEP Security
If WEP is the chosen security option, you mus t set a unique static key to be s hared
with clients that wish to access this secured wireles s network. This static key can be
generated from an eas y-to-remember pas sphrase and the selected encryption length.
