The following details to be provided in Create Mes sage page:

 Receiver: Enter the phone number of the intended receiver of the mes s age.

 Text Mes s age: Enter the body of the mes s age here

Click Send Mes s age to s end the message.

Click Don't Save Settings to res et Receiver and Text Mes s age fields .

8.4 Authentication Certificates

Advanced > Certificates

This gateway us es digital certificates for IPs ec VPN authentication as well as SSL

validation (for HTTPS and SSL VPN authentication). You can obtain a digital

certificate from a well-known Certificate Authority (CA) s uch as VeriSign, or

generate and sign your own certificate us ing functionality available on this gateway.

The gateway comes with a s elf-s igned certificate, and this can be replaced by one

signed by a CA as per your networking requirements. A CA certificate provides

s tro n g as s u ran ce o f t h e s erv er’s iden tity an d is a req u iremen t fo r mos t co rp o rat e

network VPN s olutions .

The certificates menu allows you to view a list of certificates (both from a CA and

self-s igned) currently load ed on the gateway. The following certificate data is

dis played in the lis t of Trus ted (CA) certificates :

CA Identity (Subject Name): The certificate is iss ued to this pers on or organization

Is s uer Name: This is the CA name that issued this certificate

Expiry Time: The date after which this Trus ted certificate becomes invalid

A s elf certificate is a certificate is s ued by a CA identifying your device (or s elf -

s ign ed if yo u do n’t wan t th e id entity pro tect ion of a CA ). The Active Self Certificate
